Hulið (e. Hidden)
A monologue by a young playwright and actress from a small town in Iceland, who is also the performer. A vibrating love letter to nature's forces inspired by the author's grandmother who talked to elves and predicted the future. The music is by Anna Thorvalds, she and the author share the grandmother, grew up under the same mountain by the same ocean. The piece is sincere, mysterious, exciting and physical. It leaves the audience with a sense of the invisible world and a belief in Hidden People.
Bio
Hulið (e. Hidden) is the first production from Bláir englar. The group's aim is to produce original theater with a focus on stories of women and feminine storytelling. Established by Sigríður Ásta Olgeirsdóttir, an Icelandic actress, singer and writer. She studied classical singing at the Reykjavík Academy of Singing and Vocal Arts and at the University of Music in Vienna. She has a BA in acting from Copenhagen International School of Performing Arts.
