Open call for choreographers and artists working with the body as their primary medium to participate in the Icelandic Dance Showcase 2026. Held during the Reykjavík Dance Festival in November, the event aims to strengthen the international visibility of Icelandic dance for global programmers and critics. Selected artists can present full-length works, demos, or pitches, with participation fees ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 ISK.
Funding for projects in culture, social issues, or politics where children and young people (up to age 30) are the primary focus. Projects must involve youth in planning and implementation.
The fund supports projects that strengthen relations between Iceland and Greenland. Grants are awarded for art exhibitions, study visits, educational exchanges, sports events, and other cultural or scientific activities. A total of 4.5 million ISK is available for distribution this year. Note that applications must be submitted using the fund's official forms and sent to mnh@mnh.is.
Funding for artists and cultural professionals to work on projects abroad for 7–60 days. The grant covers travel expenses and a daily allowance (€85 per day) for living costs. Applicants must collaborate with an international partner in a Creative Europe country. Applications are evaluated monthly, with a final deadline of April 30th, 2026.
The fund supports projects that strengthen cooperation and cultural ties between Denmark and Iceland, including work residencies, guest performances, and study visits. Note that applications must be submitted in Danish. Deadlines are twice a year, May 1st and October 1st, and the activity must take place after the application has been processed.
ASSITEJ International is calling for performances for the 22nd World Congress "Brave Futures," to be held in South Korea in 2027. They are seeking diverse productions that reflect the future of performing arts for young audiences on a global scale.
Support for European cooperation projects involving organisations and stakeholders across the cultural and creative sectors. The call aims to foster cross-border cooperation, the circulation of European artistic content, and the development of innovative practices. Funding is available for both small-scale and medium-scale projects. Approximately 150 projects are expected to be supported.
Opstart is an investment in the initial phases of artistic and cultural projects. It supports the joint development of new Nordic project ideas to strengthen their regional ambitions. Applicants can apply for up to DKK 25,000 with no co-financing required. Responses are typically received within 30 working days.
An open call for choreographers and companies (both international and Swedish) to tour their works across Sweden. Dansnät Sverige provides a unique gateway to professional presenters and venues throughout the country. The network offers a robust touring structure open to all professional dance practitioners. Selected works will be programmed for the Fall 2027 season.
Travel grants for independent performing artists for touring within Iceland and abroad. The aim is to increase the visibility of Icelandic performing arts and reach new audiences. Grant amounts are based on the number of participants and the destination.
Open call for Iceland-based artists interested in developing a new performance in collaboration with an artist from French Guiana (Théâtre de Macouria), the Azores (Cães do Mar), or Paris (Université Sorbonne Nouvelle). Part of a European project focused on peripheral regions, the selected project receives a 30-day residency (Nov–Dec 2026), an €8,000 co-production grant, and performance dates at Tjarnarbíó.
