An exciting collaboration of aerial circus and creative technology incorporating elements of Icelandic folklore, as well as experimental projection mapping to create a unique world for our performers and audiences. It tells the story of an architect who’s faced with the controversial task of building a hydroelectric dam in the Icelandic highlands.
The show is without text, so suitable for international audiences.
Bio
A co-production between Icelandic theatre company Huldufugl and British circus company Hikapee.
Huldufugl’s work starts with traditional performance, then uses technology to catapult that performance into new spaces and mediums - in this case, using live projections to bring the stage to life.
Hikapee are an established circus theatre company, creating and producing indoor and outdoor narrative driven shows, receiving commissions from multiple high-profile theatres and festivals in the UK.
