Così fan tutte - Opera Dinner

Così fan tutte - Opera Dinner marked Kammerópera's debut, featuring Mozart's beloved work. A new Icelandic translation by Bjarni Thor Kristinsson resonated well with guests. Attendees are served a three course meal whilst enjoying the opera performed around them. A unique time-travel experience to early 20th-century Iceland, with performers as restaurant owners and servants. A lighthearted atmosphere prevails, with humor as the opera's backbone. Ideal for first-time opera-goers.

Bio

Kammeróperan is a recently established opera company. Its goals are to increase the variety in opera productions, create a more informal experience and make opera more accessible to a broader audience in Iceland. Founded by Vienna-schooled singers, Eggert R. Kjartansson, Jóna G. Kolbrúnardóttir, Kristín Sveinsdóttir and Unnsteinn Árnason, who are now promoting opera in Iceland. Kammeróperan won the 2023 Gríma Award for "Newcomer of the Year" as part of the independent opera scene
