In a place where everything is leaking and dripping, where everything is holding onto breath, things are not as they seem. Various landscapes appear to quickly blur together again. They morph between swamps, mountains, underground caves, bacterial cultures. They melt, morph and mix, get stuck in endless contaminated loops until they dissolve, sulk and spill. And something so simple as causality becomes a magical affair.
Bio
Rósa Ómarsdóttir is an award winning Icelandic choreographer. Her artistic practice explores human and non-human encounters, in search for non-anthropocentric narratives. Her ongoing research aims at finding a rich ecosystem that combines humans, objects and invisible forces. Her work is interdisciplinary by nature and weaves together choreography, live sound-production, and visual art, with a feminist approach to dramaturgy incorporating vulnerability and flux.
