Whatever the weather is a contemporary circus show that examines the relationship between the weather and ourselves. Through acrobatics, aerials, strong visual images and quirky humour Hringleikur draws out the effect that the weather can have on us - the emotions, the energy, the stories. Whatever the weather has captivated audiences of all ages domestically and internationally and received Gri_man, the Iceland Theatre Awards, in 2021 for best stage movement.
Bio
Founded in 2018, Hringleikur is at the forefront of developing the circus scene in Iceland through the production of circus shows and cooperative projects. Hringleikur produced the first Icelandic Circus festival, Flipp Festival, and MEGAWHAT?!, a site specific circus show in a retired power station. Hringleikur has been a part of Reykjavik Arts Festival in Iceland, Ostrava Festival in Czech Republic, Sirkus Landsbyen in Norway, Subcase in Sweden and the Nordic Pulse at CINARS in Canada.
