Applications for the Performing Arts Fund and Artist Salaries for 2025

We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the Performing Arts Fund and Artist Salaries for 2025!

Performing Arts Fund

The Performing Arts Council invites professional performing arts groups to apply for grants from the Performing Arts Fund. The application deadline is October 1, 2024, at 15:00. The fund aims to enhance Icelandic performing arts and support other projects in the field with financial allocations.

Key Changes:

• Grants must be used within 30 months (previously 18 months).

• New evaluation criteria: Project value and importance 50%, execution 25%, performing arts group 25%.

If the applicant has previously received a grant, a new application will only be considered if a progress report or final report has been submitted. The application also allows for applying for artist salaries for members of the professional performing arts group.

For more information and the application form, visit the Performing Arts Fund page.

Artist Salaries

Artist salaries are awarded to self-employed artists in various fields, including visual arts, music, literature, and filmmaking. This is a unique opportunity to receive financial support to focus on creative work. The application deadline is also October 1, 2024, at 15:00.
